Every year in the run-up to Christmas, Duisburg city centre is transformed into a glittering sea of lights with well over a hundred lovingly decorated wooden huts and festively adorned fir trees.

Christmas ambience and a varied programme

The scent of cinnamon and aniseed as well as potato pancakes and speculoos is in the air. For many, the magical atmosphere at the Christmas market heralds the most wonderful time of the year.
Traditional handicrafts, original gifts and Christmas decorations can be found in the glow of the wooden huts.

There is winter fun for young and old at the Stadtwerke Duisburg ice skating rink. Year after year, children's eyes light up at the many great rides.
