Rhine on fire in Bingen and Rüdesheim

In July 2025, Bingen and Rüdesheim will once again host Germany's largest fireworks festival when “Rhine on fire” attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world. Tickets are now available for the event ships on both sides of the Rhine, and as in previous years, capacity is very limited.

Unforgettable fireworks in a breathtaking setting

When around 30 ships set off on their return journey as an illuminated convoy after a romantic trip through the UNESCO World Heritage “Upper Middle Rhine Valley”, unforgettable memories are guaranteed: From Trechtingshausen, you will sail along five spectacular fireworks displays and magical lights back to Bingen & Rüdesheim, where the brilliant final fireworks display on the Rhine awaits you.
This year's offer is once again very diverse: from “all-inclusive” party ships to regional cuisine with live music, there is an event ship to suit every taste. Visitors from the Rhine-Main region can also set sail from Wiesbaden on a ship operated by Rüd Event GmbH in 2025. In Bingen, “carefree packages” with hotel accommodation and additional services are also available to enjoy the weekend to the full.

Varied supporting program  

And it's worth staying overnight: Rhine on fire kicks off on Friday, July 4 with drinks, enjoyment and RPR1 dance bar DJ David Banks at the big warm-up on Bingen's Kulturufer. On Saturday itself, visitors from near and far can look forward to a colorful country program, local restaurateurs and excellent winegrowers from 3 pm in Bingen and on the viewing platforms and in the vineyards of Rüdesheim. The highlight weekend ends on Sunday with the 15th anniversary of the free Kulturuferfest in Bingen.

Since 1977, Rhine on fire has been delighting visitors from all over the world with a unique combination of firework spectacles, music, culinary delights and the breathtaking backdrop of the Rhine Valley. The event is organized by Bingen Tourismus & Kongress GmbH and Rüd Event GmbH. The Bingen-Rüdesheimer Schifffahrtsgesellschaft mbH provides the ferry for the final fireworks display; many other partners such as RPR.1 support the event. Up to 400 full-time and volunteer helpers from Bingen, Rüdesheim and the surrounding communities also ensure that the major event runs smoothly and safely.
