A song recital of a special kind, with light direction, video and choreography. Together with her pianist Klara Hornig, soprano Josefine Göhmann creates a song experience in four imaginary rooms: Vierge, Sirène, Héroïne, Ophélie. In songs by great composers, she sings of women as virgins, sirens, heroines and Ophelia. This resounding exhibition of female archetypes from 1900 to 2020 commemorates more than 100 years of the women's movement. It fits particularly well in the Arp Museum, with strong themes of our time in contemporary spaces and images.
Songs by Lili Boulanger, Ernest Chausson, Arnold Schönberg, Richard Strauss, Arthur Honegger, Kurt Weill, Olivier Messiaen and Wolfgang Rihm as well as commissioned works by the composers Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis and Aya Yoshida
