When the scent of mulled wine fills the air, Speyer's Christmas and New Year's market opens its doors to visitors from all over the world.

The Christmas market traditionally lasts around seven weeks, from the end of November until Epiphany. While the city is transformed into a sparkling sea of lights during this time, numerous exhibitors and vendors provide a cosy pre-Christmas atmosphere against the impressive backdrop of the Imperial Cathedral.

On Advent weekends, a craft market takes place in the courtyard of the historic town hall.
