The Oscar Huber is the last side-wheel tugboat on the Rhine.
In the past, when ships on the Rhine did not yet have their own propulsion, they were pulled by side-wheel tugs. A side-wheel tug could pull up to six barges up the Rhine. Today, the ship is a museum ship in the Vincke Canal in Duisburg-Ruhrort and belongs to the Museum of German Inland Navigation.
It was built in 1921/22 and was in service until 1966. A visit to the museum and the Oscar Huber is well worthwhile.
