Christmas market in Oberwesel – Advent magic on the Rhine

The historic market square, Rathausstraße, and the Kulturhaus are transformed into a festively sparkling winter wonderland.

New this year: Christmas magic at two additional locations!
Look forward to atmospheric moments in the foyer of the day clinic - decorated by the residents of the retirement home - as well as Christmas festivities around the Oberwesel smithy.

Mayor Jan Zimmer is also looking forward to meeting the Oberwesel kindergarten children, who traditionally decorate the large Christmas tree in front of the town hall. The little helpers will of course be rewarded with a sweet surprise from the mayor – a particularly heartwarming opening of the Christmas market! On both days, St. Nicholas will also have a surprise for the little guests.

In addition to high-quality arts and crafts, handicrafts, and jewelry, visitors can expect a colorful program for young and old alike:
A children's carousel, horse-drawn carriage rides, balloon magician Tim Balloon, and the magic witch Nudeltraud are sure to make children's eyes light up.

In the atmospheric Kulturhaus, there will be selected gift ideas as well as coffee and cake. The Kolping family of Oberwesel and the Perscheid music association provide musical accompaniment to the Advent atmosphere during the day, while the band Soul Buddha ensures a great mood on Saturday evening.

And of course, they can't be left out: the young winemakers with their popular wine stand on the market square. In addition, the Lanius-Knab winery will also be there this year. Numerous food stalls complete the culinary offerings – from classic bratwurst to apple crumble, everything is available.

So: come, marvel, enjoy – and ring in Advent in Oberwesel in a relaxed atmosphere!
