The wine culture village of Dernau invites you to its traditional St. Martin's Market featuring regional delicacies in the village centre.
The event kicks off on Friday evening with a torchlight hike through the vineyards and wine tasting.
On Saturday, the market opens to guests at 11 a.m. Exhibitors present a wide range of decorative items and handicrafts. The winegrowers are equipped with Ahr wines and mulled wine, and there is also plenty of regional fare on offer for the palate.
At 6 p.m., the grand torchlight procession with St. Martin begins through the narrow streets of the village. The impressive St. Martin's fires of the five village communities can then be admired high above the village in the vineyards.
On Sunday, the St. Martin's Market also invites visitors to browse and enjoy from 11 a.m. onwards.
The highlight: the five mountain fires are lit on Saturday when the children parade through the streets with St. Martin and their lanterns during the torchlight procession.
