Oberwesel wine market

This year, the wine market will once again be celebrated in the historic setting of the market square and Rathausstraße. Locals and tourists alike gather here to enjoy themselves and chat in a unique atmosphere. 

“Rhine in Flames – The Night of 1000 Fires” will once again amaze visitors this year. As always, the spectacular fireworks display synchronized to music will be the highlight of the weekend.

Travel information: 
There is a limited number of free parking spaces for buses and cars. We recommend traveling by public transport. Information about the extended bus routes can be found at www.vrminfo.de. In addition, there is a shuttle service from St. Goar and Bacharach available on request.

Visitors can also look forward to a true wine paradise. More than 150 Middle Rhine wines – from quality wines to ice wines, from white to red – are available to taste and enjoy. Sparkling wines and distillates are also on offer. Every wine lover is guaranteed to find “their” wine among the numerous wineries. Refreshments are also well catered for. 

Various music groups will heat up the atmosphere with open-air concerts throughout the festival, and in the evenings, live bands will play dance music. On Wine Market Sunday, a DJ will create a lively atmosphere for the first time this year.

With a varied program planned for this weekend, the winegrowers and the town are already looking forward to welcoming many guests and visitors, who are always drawn back by the unique atmosphere of the market square and the excellent wines.
