Exclusive vacation hotel address in the Loreley valley

Opened in 1973, the castle hotel is part of Rheinfels Castle, the largest fortress ruin on the Middle Rhine. In addition to the 58 rooms and four suites, the four-star superior hotel also has 5 vacation apartments.
The “Auf Scharffenek” restaurant with adjoining conservatory, a bar, the castle tavern “Zum Landgraf” with a Rhine terrace and a wellness area are further highlights at the castle.

PART OF THE PRIVATHOTELS DR. LOHBECK GROUP

The exclusive Privathotels Dr. Lohbeck group took over the renowned Hotel Schloss Rheinfels in St. Goar am Rhein at the beginning of 2020. The four-star superior hotel is one of the top addresses in the UNESCO World Heritage “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” region and is a hotel that combines tradition with modernity.

Regional and seasonal cuisine is served in the restaurant and on the terrace. The hotel obtains the raw ingredients for its cuisine from farmers, hunters and anglers in the Hunsrück region.

Hotel Schloss Rheinfels also attaches great importance to regionality when it comes to wines. On the wine list, guests will find a selection of top wines from the Loreley valley.

In summer, guests can enjoy regional culinary delights and a cool drink on the Rhine terrace with its unforgettable view over the Middle Rhine Valley.

In the Rheinfels conference villa, just a few steps away from the Schloss Hotel, guests have five rooms with modern technical equipment at their disposal for meetings, seminars and conferences.

The hotel's spacious wellness area includes a swimming pool, a sauna area, an imperial steam bath and a wellness lounge. An outdoor sauna, a plunge pool and a panoramic sunbathing lawn in the castle garden are further highlights. The extensive wellness offer is complemented by massages, beauty and wellness treatments as well as Germany's first historical fitness room in the catacombs, the so-called “torture chamber” with medieval gymnastics and sports equipment.
